Ingredients:
- 1 cup jowar flour
- 1/2 cup grated beetroot (steamed)
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Heat a tawa (griddle) on medium flame.
- In a mixing bowl, combine jowar flour, grated beetroot, and salt.
- Gradually add water as needed to make a soft dough.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.
- Roll out each ball into a roti using a rolling pin and some dry flour for dusting.
- Place the rolled roti onto the heated tawa.
- Cook until bubbles start to appear on the surface, then flip the roti and cook the other side.
- Once both sides are cooked and browned, remove from the tawa.
- Serve hot with your favorite side dish or chutney.
Tip for Best Flavor:
For enhanced flavor, you can add finely chopped cilantro, grated ginger, or a pinch of cumin powder to the dough mixture before rolling out the rotis. These additions will complement the earthy sweetness of the beetroot and add a delightful aroma to the rotis.
